Save 70% on Your Next Translation Project — Here’s How

For over ten years, one of our closest partners has trusted us with their most sensitive work. Recently, they asked us to help with a project for a U.S. university. The task involved translating training materials that help caregivers provide safe, supportive environments for children and youth.

The Challenge — The project was large and required a very tight turnaround. It wasn’t just about translating words; it was about ensuring the tone was right for a delicate subject, all while meeting a looming deadline.

Our Approach — We didn’t just throw more people at the problem.

Instead, we used a smart workflow that combines our latest technology with a multi-step human review. A dedicated team of linguists handled everything from the initial draft to the final quality checks. We completed the entire project in just over two weeks—and when the client needed a last-minute update, we turned it around the very same day.

The Bottom Line — By streamlining the process, we helped our client see a massive reduction in costs compared to traditional methods. This allowed them to put those resources back into their core mission rather than overspending on production.

This is how we view partnership: Delivering high-quality work quickly, without the “rush” fees or the stress. We’re here to help you find those same efficiencies so you can do more with your budget.

The Evolution of Translation: Introducing Large Language Model (LLM) Evaluation

Latamways | The Evolution of Translation: Introducing Large Language Model (LLM) Evaluation

As the translation industry continues to evolve from traditional human-based workflows to the integration of machine translation, the field has seen transformative changes over the decades.

LLMs have revolutionized the way we process and generate language. Their potential is immense, but with great power comes the need for meticulous evaluation. Below, we explore a new task that has been super common lately at Latamways.

The Evaluation Process*:

For each prompt-response pair, we assess the responses across 6 key dimensions:

  1. Harmlessness/Safety: Ensuring responses are free from harmful or unsafe content.
  2. Writing Style: Evaluating clarity, tone, and appropriateness for the intended audience.
  3. Verbosity: Balancing detail with conciseness.
  4. Followed Instructions: Measuring adherence to the prompt’s requirements.
  5. Truthfulness: Verifying factual accuracy and integrity.
  6. Overall Quality: Assessing the response’s effectiveness as a whole.

*It’s important to clarify that the client is usually the one suggesting the process to follow.

Comprehensive Insights:

Each evaluation involves answering category-specific questions and then providing a relative rating as well as writing a brief justification for the chosen rating.

What This Means:

This structured approach ensures a robust, data-driven evaluation process delivering actionable insights to refine and enhance content quality.

At Latamways, we’re proud to contribute to advancing content evaluation standards and ensuring that responses meet the highest benchmarks of safety, accuracy, and clarity.
